Over a solid deck with underlayment, no louder than shingle. The tin-roof sound comes from panels screwed to open purlins on barns.
02Does metal lower my insurance?
Often. Many Florida insurers discount a standing-seam roof after a wind mitigation inspection. Ask your agent for the number before you decide.
03Galvalume or a colour?
Galvalume is the bare finish and the cheapest. Painted panels come in a dozen colours and carry a paint warranty on top of the metal one.
